Drawvis is an application for viewing technical drawings in AutoCAD DXF textual format. You can attach notes of various types to your drawings.
Important features:
- 2D display only
- fast OpenGL based display method
- attachement of various types of notes to drawing
- upload of drawings from a PC over WiFi using a standard web browser or USB cable
The application hallmark is effective display of large files. It was tested with a file of size 30MB on iPhone 4 & iPad. On older devices ( iPhone 3G) it may not work as expected. It was also tested with drawings made by various CAD systems.

New version is like paid version. Is great. No problem to download more projects, you can put lines, curves, notes, voice memos and mail to somebody. No problems with iPhone4 and Cad 2004 and 2010.
Fantastic! 500kb DWG(ACAD 2008) save as DXF (ACAD R12, 17M) Perfect, fast! but only support ONE file.. I Like!
Test it with a file I was working on and it looks great. You have the option of turning off layers. One major draw back is that one of the layers I had was a hidden line and it showed it as a continuous line. Dont know why this is happening?
are the instructions, what LITTLE there is, written in English? I tried this as a precursor to the paid version, and Im glad I did. Once I muddled through the "instructions" the email loading did not work at all. no drawing was added to the application.
I had problems at first getting a file loaded and wrote a scathing review (when transferring via web the file must end up in the apps inbox or it counts as a second file). To their credit they contacted me quickly. I dont know yet if Ill go with the paid version but I can see value in this, so do give it a try to see if it meets your needs
